More about Rogers Centre
One of the all time iconic stadiums ever built, the Rogers Centre is a stalwart along the Toronto skyline and situated adjacent to the CN Tower near the northern shore of Lake Ontario. ParkWhiz makes it easy and fast to tackle your parking needs whether you’re going to a Blue Jays game or headed to one of the many other events in the district.
Originally named Skydome when it opened, it was renamed Rogers Centre in 2005 following the Rogers Communications purchasing of the stadium. When it opened, the stadium had many unique features that have been replicated in new venue construction since - namely its fully functional and motorized retractable roof.
The stadium’s primary tenant is the Toronto Blue Jays, who have called Rogers Centre home since it opened. The Toronto Argonauts, Toronto Raptors, and the Buffalo Bills have all called the venue ‘home’ as well. It’s also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2015 Pan-Am Games, during which it was called the Pan-Am Dome, as Rogers did not have sponsorship rights to the games.
Aside from sporting events Skydome/Rogers Centre has professional wrestling, including WrestleMania VI and WrestleMania X8, numerous concerts, circuses, Disney shows and auto shows.
