About Vivint Smart Home Arena

Vivint Smart Home Arena is a celebrated venue in the west, one of the jewels of Salt Lake City. Originally named the Delta Center, the home of the Utah Jazz was constructed between 1990 and 1991. More
It hosted its first basketball game during the 1991 pre-season, and followed that with a panoply of honors, including hosting the 1993 NBA All-Star Game, WAC basketball tournaments and featuring climactic battles between the Jazz and the Chicago Bulls during the 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals. The future Vivint Smart Home Arena hosted the 1999 US Figure Skating Championships and held ice skating events during the 2002 Winter Olympics. The venue became the EnergySolutions Arena in 2006 following a naming rights deal. After renovations in 2010, the name changed again towards the end of 2015, following a deal with Vivint. Vivint Smart Home Arena can seat up to 19,111 screaming fans for basketball, a fact that spawned the nickname of “The Decibel Center” while Delta held the naming rights. It can be difficult to find a Vivint Smart Home Arena parking spot for the Jazz, but if you book ahead with ParkWhiz you can find a spot that is music to your years.
