About Royal Farms Arena

Some things get better with age. Royal Farms Arena opened in 1962, but it’s still a top-notch location, with a storied history. Located conveniently downtown, this auditorium can seat 14,000 maximum, with possible events ranging from concerts to WWE Wrestling, political events, pageants, indoor sporting events and even professional bull riding championships. Every year, the venue is visited by 800,000 people. More

Finding Royal Farms Arena parking may be an issue, so it is good to book your parking spot ahead of time. Between 1963 and ‘73, the Baltimore Bullets played there (they’re now knows as the Washington Wizards). Several well-known figures of the 1960s and ‘70s performed at the 1st Mariner Arena. For instance, in 1963, the Beatles performed at the venue, Martin Luther King gave his “Race and the Church” speech,” Led Zeppelin rocked out and the Grateful Dead recorded their “Dick’s Picks Volume 23” live album here.

Recent events include several WWE matches, such as WWE Extreme Rules, Monday Night Raw, WWE PPV No Way Out and Backlash. Several bands also performed before audiences as the 1st Mariner, including Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood. Additionally, in 2008 the arena hosted President Obama during his campaign tour. Accessing the 1st Mariner for these events may be difficult, as downtown Baltimore is notorious for its traffic. It makes sense to plan ahead and book your Royal Farms Arena parking space in advance with ParkWhiz, saving you time and money.

ParkWhiz is easy and efficient, allowing you to take the hassle out of parking at sports and entertainment venues. All you have to do is find your event on the ParkWhiz website, book your parking spot and print out your ParkWhiz parking pass. When you bring your Royal Farms Arena parking pass to the venue, you won’t have to circle around the parking lot endlessly; just drive to your booked spot, and that’s all.
