They became part of the NBA in 1976 and have won 11 division titles. The Colorado Avalanche were first based in Quebec City and known as the Quebec Nordiques from 1972 to 1995 before relocating to Denver later that year. The Avalanche have won two Stanley Cups, two Conference Championships and three Presidents’ Trophies, among other honors.
