"The parking was fine. The attendant was awesome and helpful. NOT being able to use the elevators was very inconvenient. We took the steps to get up to ground level. After the concert at The Verizon Center the entrance we came out of was locked. We actually had to walk down 2 1/2 levels onthe same ramps that the cars use. Not very safe."
"Easy process"
"I always use this parking garage for Verizon Center events. It is about 3 blocks away which is very close yet allows for a quick escape from the city if you turn left when you exit the garage. I did have one issue last night with the attendant. My Park Whiz pass was valid from 5pm until 1 hour after the concert. By my car clock (which is synchronized to 103.5 WTOP) it was 5:04pm when we entered the garage. When we went to exit and gave our pass and the parking stub, he informed us that the parking stub showed that we entered the garage at 4:59pm, 1 minute early, and therefore our Park Whiz pass is invalid and we had to pay $23.00 on top of the $11 I already paid for the Park Whiz pass. I volunteered to pay for half an hour for that 1 extra minute, which I felt was very reasonable of me. I wouldn't budge, no, $23. I asked him over and over, "Really? 1 minute? I think I should pay for 1 minute? My car said it was 5:03pm." Finally after 3 minutes, he overrode the barrier to let me go. I politely thanked him and we had a great ride home. I still recommend this garage, just be wise to the fact that it is likely that their entrance barrier is probably a few minutes slow so don't up exactly at the time you are allowed to park or you too may be asked to pay the full rate and you may not be as successful in shaming the attendant to do the right thing. At the end of the day, this was my first issue in 4 times using this place and hey, location, location, location. Please DO use this place, it is a perfect parking spot."
