Upon arrival, take a parking ticket from the ticket machine and park in any open space. Upon exit, proceed to Level 3 of the garage, exit through the attended lane on Level 3, and hand your ParkWhiz parking pass to the attendant for validation.

This is a COVERED garage connected by a bridge into the 400 Tower of Renaissance Center. It is directly across the street from Joe Muer's Seafood Restaurant.

How To Find It

The west entrance to this garage is on the corner of Bates and Atwater Street. The east entrance is located directly across the street from the Marriott Hotel at the Renaissance Center, on Renaissance Drive West. Look for the big "Public Parking" signs on this 7-story deck. You can easily see the deck from Jefferson Avenue as you look towards the Detroit River. From the Lodge Freeway (M-10) it is best to use the Jefferson Avenue exit, stay to the right, then turn right (south) on Bates Street before you reach the Renaissance Center. From I-375 exit on Jefferson West (last exit), stay left, turn left (south) on Beaubien, go 1 block, turn right (west) on Atwater, go 1 block, turn right (north) on Renaissance Drive West. We are directly across from Joe Muer's Seafood Restaurant and the Marriott Hotel. Garmin navigation system will find the garage if you type in 400 Renaissance Center or the Marriott Hotel.

At first I thought the attendant was alittle standoffish when I asked about validating my ticket, but after she explained to me what I needed to do, she became very pleasant and helpful. The walk to the Joe was short and nice, I'm not sure if I would want to do it during the winter, but thats just me. Getting out of the parking facility was a quick, no hassle, very pleasant experience. We will definitely park there again!
