Excellent rate for a garage near the Lyric Opera.
-
The instructions were confusing, as I believed I had to notify the attendant immediately after parking instead of only when I checked out. Other than that, I loved the service and will definitely make use of it again.
-
- plenty of space, very close to meeting location (10 S. Riverside) - takes several minutes for the attendant to answer the call when you're ready to leave
-
Easy Access. Hit the assistance button and was out in less than 5 minutes. Got a very nice person on the other end and opened the gate after I gave then the reservation number.
-
Parking was easy to find, great place to park for a great price. Would recommend to a friend.
-
Parking was excellent. However, when the opera was over there were dozens of cars that went to check out at the same time. The first car pushed the intercom button and got a prerecorded message "one moment please....." over and over ...... After about 10 minutes, whoever was on staff finally came to the intercom and let us all out.
-
Didn't get an answer through the intercom. We waited for about 5 mins and called the phone number listed on the pass. Then the guy over the phone remotely opened the gate to let us out. The service could be improved to make it quicker.
-
I've used this service so many times and the selection is incredible
-
Having my spot pre-reserved and coming back to a warm garage in chicago is about as good as it gets.
-
Using this from my mobile, there are so many options!!!
-
convenient to downtown and no problems with parking.
-
Booking my space was so simple with the Android app. It showed me options I never would have knew about.
-
There was some confusion when leaving but it all worked out.
-
It was a great deal on the price, a little bit complicated getting out of the parking lot.
-
It was so quick and easy - I will definitely recommend it to others. Had to go downtown for a morning meeting, and it was perfect..
-
Good - location, size and availability of spaces
-
The only thing that was confusing is that you have to use the intercom to call for assistance.
-
Took a while to get someone to respond to the assistance call button. It was about 9:45pm
-
It was pretty easy to find this parking garage and the walk over to the lyric opera house was pretty fast taking only about 10 minutes if you walk slow. Leaving the garage was easy as well as the directions were completely correct and someone was there to confirm the reservation number and then lift the gate. I would use this reservation service again and recommend it to others.
-
Both the entry and the exit were smooth this time.
-
Parking was close to Opera , very efficient and cheaper than most lots. Great bargain when you book online.
-
I had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to answer after I pressed the assistance but then it proceeded smoothly. Since the same thing happened in the lane next to me, maybe the security dept should be made aware what time the opera ends so they can anticipate a rush. Other than that, it was a short two block or so walk to the Opera House and I would highly recommend it to anyone else attending the opera. I will probably park there again for the next opera.
-
easy parking for the opera
-
It was close to the Lyric Opera and cheaper than other parking spaces I investigated. Also, covered parking. Not so great was the limited signage to find the exit.
-
was easy to find &handicap acres helped me verymuch good experience
-
This was a nice parking lot. It was not cramped like some other lots. And the attendant was professional.
-
It is located near to Willis Tower with very good rate by prebookilng. one bad side is there is no person to assist you, so you need to push assistant button. My case is at night parking.
-
cheap and good parking in the area!
-
I parked here on the weekend of Labor Day weekend. On saturday, I returned to the Parking after the Navy Pier fireworks. I had to wait for 15 minutes as the operator who opens the gate was not present.
-
The price & it was right across the street from where I was going
-
It was very easy and affordable considering the high price parking in downtown Chicago. Thanks and Cheers!!
-
Excellent parking place.. Everything very near from this place.
-
Convenient location for my business purposes. A little confusion while departing, but everyone friendly and helpful.
-
We got excellent parking at a most reasonable rate location was perfect . Our only downfall was getting out Of the parking lot we had to wait a half our fit an attendant to show up to let us out scanning your paper with the number on it was not working the machine would not allow us to get out . Maybe on these big event nights you could have someone there that could let the patrons out. That was the only downfall . Pleased with the price, getting in, finding execellent parking, perfect location just couldnt get out because it did not worrk the way you stated that it would .
-
Good place convenient and nO hassle .
-
Yes! I would recommend the parking. It was very close and easy to get too & affordable. The bad thing, I was NOT able to get out right away. The speaker kept saying "wait for assistance". It took abt 10mins, before the assistance to show up. The car in front of me, stated he was waiting for 20mins. But it still beats paying $25 for parking, so it was worth the wait.
-
No problem finding a spot. No problem or extra charges at checkout. Excellent value.
-
Good location for Union Station. No problems at all!
-
The parking was very convenient for our visit to Willis Tower - just a short and easy walk across the river. Overall the parking was great, convenient and seemed to be safe.
-
Need better directions because of all the one-way streets
-
Although I lost my parking ticket, based on prepaid receipt I was able to get out with assistance without paying any penalties.
-
The garage is very close to the Civic theater.
-
Safe and the remote staff is courteous over the intercom
-
We had a great experience. Would use your service again.
-
Location was perfect, can't beat $5 parking downtown for 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon.
-
Excellent price at a good location.
-
Excellent price at a good location.
-
Easy, bright, clean, and very inexpensive for downtown Chicago parking!!
-
kept true to the price
-
Quick and easy, perfect location and for way less! Thanks!
-
The parking arrangements were great. Drove down for a Cubs Game and checked in at about 4:30pm. I followed the directions and took a parking ticket and parked my vehicle in an open space that I had pre-paid online. When I picked-up the car around 11pm, I initially went to the door by the elevator before picking up the car and put my card in. I was informed to go get my car and drive to the exit gate and insert the ticket - and then call the assistant. I did that and it worked perfectly. And the parking rate was so much better than others - but more importantly, the location was great. Just a few blocks from the Red line to Cubs Stadium. I am from the western suburbs and will always use this parking whenever I can to avoid riding the train downtown and back. You get an "excellent" for a new and creative parking concept. Rich
-
Hassle Free Parking. Very cheap.
-
It was good And Will consider next time
-
Garage spaces are pretty tight but heck, it's downtown. Leaving the gate was a bit hectic. Can't beat the price. I would do this again.
-
It was my first time parking here, it was a good experience, everything easy.
-
People I know will use this service. I was impressed with how easy it was to pay and park. I had no trouble finding the lot and not trouble leaving to get home. Very satisfied.
-
What a deal! For $5.88, we were able to park in a heated garage. My husband and I went to the Lyric Opera House, which was only a couple blocks away. Attendant was at the gate upon our departure and took care of having the gate opened right away. Would definitely park here again.
-
Very close to the opera house and even though it was Saturday the attendant answered the call button within a minute or so. Great covered parking.
-
It is very close to the Lyric Opera House. Had to go around due to construction - the street sign to the parking garage help a lot. Not sure what kind of "hassle" there might be since this is my first time using ParkWhiz, but pushing the "Assistance" button at the exit took care of everything.
-
Easy to access, safe and well lit.
-
Very close to the Opera House. Great price and convenient!
-
Easy to find location, easy to park, easy to exit. Cheaper than posted rates at garage !!!
-
Parking was great. It was hard to get out because no one would answer the attendant button to give our paid authorization number. We sat there for 10 minutes with a long line of cars behind us. All 3 gates were in the same bind. It is a great idea to prepay but we need someone to answer in a more timely fashion.
-
Getting out of the lot is a nightmare! It takes five minutes for attendant to answer so we can give our number. All the while an annoying voice is saying "I'll be with you soon". This is way too long. Everything else was fine.
-
Fast in and put
-
Fast on and out
-
It took almost five minutes for the attendant to get on the line after we pushed the "assistance" button. So we had to wait to give them our reservation number and have them lift the gate. Aside from that, the parking was great.
-
A short two blocks from the venue with easy access and good rates.
-
safety of off street parking at a great price i could have parked across street free but their price made it a non brainer, thanks guys
-
Very convenient. 2.5 blocks away.
-
It was great. Close to our destination. Easy to find. Great price!!
-
Had to wait for an assistant to take my number ... about 2-3 minutes. Glad NOT a long line behind me! Otherwise close to alll areas of concern and clean!
-
It was extremely reassuring to know you had parking once arriving nearby the Lyric Opera House. Construction in the area and streets appearing to be blocked and me being in the area for the first time made finding the parking quite difficult.
-
Worked like a charm.
-
Took five minutes to get a response so I could get out.
-
Great price and it worked as advertised. No issues.
-
The lot was close to the Lyric Opera, it was the cheapest of all the surrounding lots,it was clean and felt safe. Highly recommend.
-
Bad weather day-- when returning to pick up car had trouble locating entrance which was on one level (wheelchair-bound wife). That entrance needs better signage and handicapped sign. Still can't figure out how I came out southbound on DesPlaines when I thought I had followed signs for Clinton northbound.
-
Convenient and reasonable.
-
everything! easy, safe excellent service
-
I was concerned that the walk to the Lyric Opera might be too far, but it was just as advertised (about .2 miles or 320 yards).
-
Cheap and close to the Lyric
-
It was so convenient to the Lyric Opera.
-
The location was a perfect location for attending the Lyric Opera. The garage was safe, clean and easy to use. We will definitely park there again and would recommend to others who will be attending events at the Lyric Opera.
-
Safe and inexpensive. Location is good.
-
No problems at all.
-
It was very convenient to the Civic Opera House. However, it took a long time to be recognized by the intercom. We sat for at least 5 minutes waiting for an attendant to respond after pushing the intercom button.
-
It was a reasonable price for daytime downtown parking, easy to find with the help of the map provided on the web-site, and close to the Lyric Opera House.
-
Whe departing I received immediate attention from attendant that verified the paid receip-t and exot was completed in seconds. I have a handicap passenger and the handicap parking spot was close to elevators and the garage was well maintained and heated. I will use them again when attending the Lyric Opera. I am a senior citizen 80 years of age.
-
easy access to opera house.
-
pre paid ease--no fumbling with machines and waiting in line before exiting the facility, not to mention a good price! I have already recommended this parking facility to fellow colleagues at the Lyric Opera.
-
Very easy to reserve, very convenient, very helpful staff when I left the garage - thank you
-
it was easy and affordable - good location for the opera and restaurants. This was my second time to use this parking facility.
-
Easy in. Easy out. A great deal love it will definitely use again.
-
When leaving I was following the directions on the print out from your website. I used the ticket machine in the lobby and pressed the "assistance" button and waiting a long, long, long time.(Tying up the machine for many others.) Finally a live voice came on and told me to bring my form (with the number) to the exit gate where a person had to open the gate with a key. SO, either there was a problem with your system yesterday OR you need to change your instructions.
-
Central Parking is convenient, reasonably priced and the environmental conditions are controlled.
-
It was easy to find - directions were clear. It was close enough to the Lyric to make it positive - even in the snow, and the price was definitely helpful.
-
easy access, great price, car didn't need to have the snow cleaned off
-
convenient to Lyric Opera, fast in and out
-
Great Service!
-
Fast and easy
-
Convenience, good price!
-
secure parking great location
-
A great price and convenient location to The Lyric Opera. I would definitely use this facility again.
-
Lot is great for Lyric Opera
-
Convenient, good location, ease of parking, clean, good service from employees.
-
We had to go to the parking office to redeem our voucher.
-
the parking spaces in the garage weren't carefully watched to how people parked their vehicles. some people were parked in two spaces and such. also the instructions on how to leave were confusing.
-
It was a great location, close to the Lyric Opera. The attendant at the exit was very friendly. The spots seam a little tight, quite a few cars were taking up space from other spaces and leaving spaces unusable.
-
The parking garage was very clean and safe. It was a long walk to theater but we got 2 cars to park for the price of one spot that would have been closer.
-
Nice warm parking garage, great location, great price, no problems. Love it! Would use ParkWiz again! Thank you ParkWiz!!!
-
Convenience
-
All went fine until we tried to leave and the attendant wouldn't accept the e-ticket. He wanted the printed copy which I could not do from my iPad. He let us out after I showed him the screen but he said to print it next time, even though e-ticketing was an option. Other than that, no problems.
-
Very smooth - no problem at exit.
-
I was attending the neaby Wilco concert, and it was clear there were many people parking for the event. To make things easy on the way out, there was an attendant at the gate who simply took my printed out code number and let myself and other drivers through. Great service!
-
very convenient to the opera house - no hassles and the staff were very nice. Nice to have a discount reservation.
-
It's perfect for the lyric But. I had difficulty at the gate. The intercom system wld not work. I cld hear her, but she cldnt hear me. After a few pressing of buttons she finally was able tp hear me. Thought I'd have to spend the night!!
-
Great value. Good service. Convenient. A1 experience!
-
The parking was convenient and inexpensive which we really appreciate. The bad part was waiting for the operator over the intercom system because of the cars behind me honking and honking. Our wait was about 4 minutes. Otherwise this would have been the perfect experience.
-
easy access plenty of spots and great price and easy exit no problems here thanks and keep up the good work
-
I was so pleased with the short walk to the Lyric Opera. The parking was inside and protected, the exit was also flawless because the guard answered within 2 minutes. The entrance was confusing, driving right over the curb it seemed like. The garage looked closed not realizing it opened automatically when driven close to the door. There are no signs to indicate that the door opens automatically. I would park here again, I liked it.
-
Convenient and cheap.
-
Central Parking was simple to use and close to the Lyric Opera. I would use it again.
-
It was close to the Lyric Opera, my destination. We had a little trouble exiting, however. There didn't seem to be an intercom, so there we were, holding up traffic, waiting for the attendant to come over and take care of us.
-
it was very good and I intend to use it again.
-
It's perfect for me to get to the Lyric on time! Thx
-
It was easy to use. I drove in, parked, came back, and left he building--only one hitch. I left late in the evening and no one was around. I pushed the assistance button. The lady who answered could not hear me well. When she could hear me, she couldn't understand what I meant. I said, "I need your assistance. I have a ticket and receipt for the parking. I paid in advance." I couldn't figure out what to say to convey to her that I paid online. She ignored me. I called back and she then asked, "Sir, did you pay online?" I said yes and she said, "what's the code?" I told her and she opened up the gate remotely. The whole thing took 5 minutes. I would recommend the place, but there needs to be a way of communicating so as to avoid the misunderstanding. Thanks, Chris
-
It was close to the opera, even admist all the construction. The parking is easy, even if you dont print your confirmation, as long as you can pull it up on your phone, you're good. The attendant was very nice.
-
Very pleasant workers. Good experience.
-
Easy to use; smooth exiting process. Would use again
-
Lost the ticket, could not scan my prepay number and had to get assistance at exit! No problem, just gave my reservation number and headed home. I will use this service for the rest of the opera season and refer to everyone I know.
-
A lovely young woman took care of my exit from the garage. Cheers to her and you!
-
The location, convenience, and price are terrific. However, it is very complicated when I check out, for I have to walk to the office or hold up everyone in the exit lane until someone can help process the forms. I would ask that this garage work out a better, more efficient system for accepting the Park Whiz system. I'll use it again, thought, despite the delays. Thank you.
-
It's worked like a charm each time I have used the parking discounts...Thanks...
-
This parking option was easy and straightforward. The only thing I noticed that could be improved is that there had to be human intervention when we were leaving in order to get the ParkWhiz approved--I never had the chance to say the number and Magic! have the gate open.
-
I was pleased with the parking facility at 500 West Monroe Street for several reasons: 1: Ease of access from several Expressways 2. Proximity to Lyric Opera (5 minute walk) in well traveled and public streets (Safe at night) 3. Availability of several parking locations close to Handicap Parking and the elevators (spouse is disabled) 4. Clean and Orderly maintained fracility 5. Cost was reasonable in view of non reserved spaces available at higher cost 6. The exit process was qujick and easy after showing printed computer receipt to attendant (fast response) 7. Signage could be better in allowing exit to Monroe Street as distinguished to only Clinton Street
-
Nothing went wrong. I did, however, no realize that I could be charged extra if our car was parked more than 2 hoursafter the opera finished. But the system worked great.
-
Convenient, and everythings went smoothly.
-
The parking was close to the Opera and it was easy to find a parking spot for a Sunday afternoon matinee. The price was great! It was a little difficult for the attendant to hear me say my reservation number when I was leaving, but it all worked out. I would park there again.
-
It was great to be able to reserve and pay for the parking online. It worked like a charm. I'll definitely do this again. This particular facility is closer to the Civic Opera House than the lot I have been using when I have driven to the opera. It's nice to think the car will be out of the weather when the weather is bad - particularly snowy, when I won't have to brush the snow off the car before I drive home. It's really convenient to everything in the West Loop. Though I had to drive up to the 6th level to find a space, I had no problem finding one.
-
Easy in and out. Quite reasonable parking fee. Great value.
-
Very good parking! Nice, warm and close to the Opera house.
-
Excellent location, clean hallways and elevator. Quick response for assistance. Great job!
-
It would be marginally nicer if they had a bar code reader in the exit lane for the ParkWhiz printout, but otherwise it was just fine.
-
Will definitely do it again
-
Convenient, easy to use, reasonably priced.
-
easy, less expensive, quick access to the Lyric!
-
It was a delight to use this parking facility. Close to the opera yet uncrowded and simple with the advance payment and registration.
-
Quick and easy. The reservation code worked fine. One thing to be aware of is the entrance is used also for an exit, and can be very narrow. The overhead doors were closed, making me think initially that the entrance was not open, but it will automatically open when you pull up to it.
-
The exit was much improved as far as the length of time that the attendant responded. Thanks.
-
It was a good experience. The parking facility was well-lit and clean and easily navigated. We reached an attendant via speaker at the exit, as promised in the instructions.
-
Bad: the entry on 500 W monroe did not work and we had a line of cars waiting. Had to call the attendant on a cell phone after finding number ourselves to figure out other entry. Good: very convenient to have parking prearranged and know parking rates beforehand. Smooth entry and exit once correct entrance was located. Overall: effective service and will be willing to use it in the future.
-
It was convienent and cost effective on the front end, but getting out of the parking lot was another ordeal. We waited almost 9 minutes for someone to answer the intercom so we could give them the code.
-
The price was great and the proximity to the Opera House was convenient. The only problem we had was it took a little longer than we expected to exit because there were several cars exiting at the same time and we all had to read the numbers to the person on duty. We think this is a great deal and we will certainly use it again.
-
Good price, covered parking, located close to my destination, easy all the way round
-
Very convenient parking for the Lyric Opera...easy in and out.
-
It went flawlessly! Easy to find. An easy 2-or 3-block walk to the Lyric Opera. And we had time (2 hours after the show) to get dinner. It was less expensive than parking would've been anywhere else. And it was very simple getting out again -- just say our reservation number. We will do this again!
-
It was convenient and within a quick walk to the Lyric Opera. However, due to the Wacker Drive construction, the surrounding traffic pattern was blocked on a Friday night at 5:30 p.m., and we were waiting for over 30 minutes to exit the facility. Just plan accordingly if you are on a tight schedule.
-
Convenient to the opera
-
Worked perfectly. Thanks!
-
Parking facility was fine.
-
it was convenient and reasonable..
-
Easy experience. Pretty lobby area - Granite and clean.
-
My parking experience was great. The garage was close to the Lyric Opera house and it was so easy to get in and out of. Much less crowded than other garages I have tried in the past which made for a very quick exit. I would definitely park here again.
-
Everything was just as promised. I have used this service before. I would recommend to anyone.
-
Exiting the lot was fine and easy.
-
Everything went quite well except getting out was a bit of a hassle. They needed to come out of the office to get our paperwork and lift the gate, causing a delay in exiting the lot. But otherwise, the location and price were perfect!
-
We saw a performance at the Chicago Civic Theater, just around the corner from the Monroe St. parking garage. We drove in from Wisconsin, 2-1/2 hours, so we didn't want any hassle in parking, since we were on a tight time schedule to have dinner and make it to the theater on time. Pre-paying the parking at a very reasonable rate of $11 was very easy and convenient. I would do it again. Watertown, Wisconsin
-
Good place. It was easy to get to the theater from there and a lovely walk across the river.
-
Easy parking-access to 90/94 close to public transportation
-
convenient parking for game day!
-
Close to the Lyric Opera House, not crowed, and heated!
-
QUICK ENTRY AND EASY EXIT. PERFECT.
-
Since I don't live in Chicago it was very reassuring to know that I had a parking place and instructions about how to get there. The process was very efficient.
-
A great service.
-
Exactly as promised. Easy in, easy out, plenty of spaces.
-
After pushing the "assistance" button at the exit, it took too long to respond, and the drivers in line behind me became impatient.
-
The facility was fine.
-
The experience was very good.
-
ALL WAS GOOD. OPA
-
I made a reservation one day before going to the Lyric Opera. I received clear instructions by e-mail. The parking was 98% occupied, but I found a good spot and saved a lot of time.
-
It was easy and it was cheap. I still can't believe I parked near the Lyric Opera House for $11.
-
Perfect for Lyric Opera goers.
-
The best part is not having to wait in line to pay for the ticket at the time of leaving.
-
Well lit and clean.
-
There was plenty of parking spaces and the price was reasonable. It took a good 40-45 minute walk to get to Soldier Field.
Perfect spot for the Civic Opera House as it is very close. Indoor parking lot completly sheltered from the elements. Heated during the winter and well lit in a class A office building. This is a 24/7 parking garage.
This location is a commercial parking garage.
Look for the green Central Parking post on the sidewalk near the garage entrance. The entrance is on the left on W. Monroe Street between Clinton and Canal Street. There is an alternate entrance on Canal Street.
