• Convenient to the theater and the office staff was very nice and helpful. Our only suggestion is to put a sign out front that says "Poetry Garage" - the only sign there says "Enterprise".

• Self parking was very easy in and out; located 2 blocks from entrance to Lyric Opera House. The price was $14 (prepaid on-line) - covered the time of 1/2 hour before and after the the theatre performance.

• The online registration was easy,had excellent directions. Parking lot is well lit and the poets make your level memorable-the best part is the live person at the exit so there is no hassle with nonfunctioning barcodes-I have used this garage in the past and I will again-definitely highly recommened especially for folks attending the opera!

• Very happy with this facility. We needed a nice TALL place for our big SUV, and we fit just fine. When exiting, we had a little trouble scanning our pre-paid bar code, but the attendant came right up to help us and was very courteous. Thanks for making our trip that much easier!

• I would like to commend the woman in charge of the office at the Poetry Garage the evening of March 18th at 10:30. We had a flat tire and were parked on the 6th floor. This woman was reassuring and kind to us. She called for help, once to a gentleman assistant at the garage, and once, successfully, to a repair man who was asleep. This fine fellow got up, drove over, dismounted the bad tire and put on the spare. It was the best of all possible outcomes for us and we are grateful to this attendant. While waiting in the office, I overheard her answering telephone calls. She was unfailingly patient and kind, even to people who hadn't paid their bill. She was firm with them but with a patient manner. Please convey this to someone of importance at your firm.

• The garage was close to the Civic Opera House. It was easy to get the exit ticket from the office on the second floor, but it was difficult squeezing into a crowded elevator from the second floor to the fifth floor where my car was parked.

• We went to the Lyric Opera and the parking couldn't have been easier. Just make sure when you park here that you remember to go to the 2nd Floor Garage Office (which is well lit and has a security guard - and is very easy to find). This worked extremely well and the guy inside the office couldn't have been nicer. I would definitely use this service again - thanks! (Plus I saved about $20!)

• The instructions I received were to check with the garage office before retreiving my car. There was no one in the office and the sign there said to go to the paybox and ask for assistance there. When I got there the sign said to drive to the exit and someone would help me there. A lot of running back and forth would be avoided if the printed instructions just said to drive to the exit with my printed reservation. Otherwise there were no long waits and the process was smooth.

• The instructions on ParkWhiz were accurate. After parking, we went straight to the garage office on the second floor, the attendant gave me a validated ticket, and we excited the garage with no problem. The whole process was easy and simple. It was nice knowing where I was going to park before I got downtown, rather than drive around looking for the best deal. As we were walking, I saw other night rates for $14, but I would have been "shopping" as I was driving. Very covenient.

• Easy in/out but the spiral ramp was really tight so large vehicles may have difficulty. Very convenient for the Lyric Opera. I would definelty use Poetry Garage again!

• This was perfect... loved it. The garage was clean and it was easy to find a spot. I was only about a block and a half from the opera house and was able to see the opera and then take a cab to dinner and another cab back to the garage and the total I spent was what I would have had to pay for two or three hours at most garages in the city.

• This was really a pleasure. The garage was very close to the Civic Øpera House, no crowds or wait to get out, plenty of available spaces, and the price was right. It was a Sunday afternoon. Also, the electronic pass gave good directions to the garage as well as precise information about what to do when picking up the car. Good operation! I wouldn't hesitate to use it again!

• The only trouble I had was the internet reciept said to get a exit ticket on the second floor but it needed to have a drawing of the second floor office so we could locate it. It's unfamiliar territory for small town people.

• this was a really convenient place to park, close to the civic opera and a straight shot to the toll way, couldn't ask for a better location. One thing, was confusing, although the parking whiz reservation said to go to the office on the 2nd floor for check out, there was a sign in the lobby that said, "If you purchased your parking on-line, use the scanner to pay on the way out." I think you need a BIG obvious sign that says: Parking Whiz Customers go to the office on the 2nd floor. that would have been helpful. thx

This is a multi-level covered parking garage centrally located Downtown Chicago in the Loop. Easy in-and-out access near Wacker Dr, Lake Shore Dr, and to the freeways (90/94, 55, and 290).

Vehicle height restriction: 82 inches

This location is a commercial parking garage.

This parking garage is located on southwest corner of Madison and Wells St. There are entrances for this garage on both S Wells St next to a Walgreens and on Madison St next to La Quinta Hotel. Look for a large blue Self Park sign above the entrance.
