Selling

Getting Started Selling

At ParkWhiz, you can sell your parking for a special event or just on a monthly basis. You can also simply provide information about your parking spot if that's all you choose to do. We make it as easy as possible to sell your parking and drive new customers to your space. And listing is free!

The first step in selling your parking space is to list it. There are a number of ways to list your parking, depending upon your situation and the type of parking you have.

You can choose to either accept reservations and get paid ahead of time, or just advertise the parking and not accept reservations. Remember, posting a listing is always free.

When someone reserves your parking, we'll send you an email to notify you of the purchase.

After the buyer reserves your parking space, we'll send your payment either by check or directly to your bank account, whichever you prefer. We collect a 15% commission from each sale, which we deduct prior to sending your payment. Your payment will reflect this commission.

Listing Event Parking

If you have a parking spot and want to sell parking for a special event (e.g. baseball game, concert etc.):

Don't forget, when parking is reserved at ParkWhiz.com, we collect a 15% commission from the total sale price of your listing. Keep this commission in mind when deciding on a price for your parking.

Note: If this is your first time listing a space or facility at ParkWhiz, you will be asked to verify your identity with a credit card or bank account. Neither your credit card nor bank account will be charged.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Always double-check the information in your listing before posting it to the website. You can modify the information in your listing at any time until a buyer selects your parking for purchase.

We list major events on the ParkWhiz site, including MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, theater and concert listings. As long as your listing falls within the timeframe for the scheduled showing, it will automatically be listed under the appropriate event.

Deciding on a Sale Price

It's up to you to decide on the sale price of your parking space. Enter your desired price for each listing. Remember, when your space sells, we collect a 15% commission from each sale, which we deduct prior to sending your payment. Be sure to keep this commission in mind when deciding on a price.

Providing Credit or Debit Card Information

The first time you sell parking on ParkWhiz, we'll ask for a valid credit or debit card, which we'll use to verify your name and billing address. As part of our ParkWhiz Guarantee, this security measure helps protect against fraudulent charges and parking listings. By providing this information, you are helping make the ParkWhiz marketplace more secure. Thank you!

The first time you list parking for sale, we send a $1.00 authorization to your credit or debit card as a security measure to verify the validity of your card and address information. The $1.00 authorization is not a charge and will be released by your financial institution. This is only done the first time you list parking on ParkWhiz.

Note: This entire process may be waived if we've pre-qualified or verified your business.

We accept Visa or MasterCard debit cards and Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club and American Express credit cards.

Commission & Fees

Listing parking at ParkWhiz is free. There are absolutely no startup, registration, or membership fees for using ParkWhiz.com.

When your parking sells, we collect a commission equal to 15% of the total sale price. We deduct the 15% commission automatically before we send your payment. Be sure to keep this in mind when deciding on the sale price of your parking space. This is the only fee you pay as a seller.

Reservation Notifications

Confirming That You Cannot Provide the Parking Space

If you receive a reservation for parking you no longer have or cannot fulfill, you must inform us of your situation immediately. The sooner you let us know, the better we can assist the buyer, which will, in turn, reduce the likelihood that you incur negative feedback or removed from the site.

Disclaimer

We are pleased to be able to facilitate the exchange of parking between sellers and buyers. However, these exchanges are transactions solely between the buyers and sellers of parking. Although we always encourage respectful, civil behavior in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, we cannot guarantee buyers or sellers behavior and are in no way liable for any fines, penalties, or other consequences of behavior at a parking facility.

Getting Paid

Payment Methods

We can send you a check via U.S. Mail or issue payment directly to your bank account.

Upon completing a sale, payment is available to withdraw immediately. Withdrawals can be made from the Account Balance section in your account.

Note: This option is not present UNTIL your first reservation sale is made.

Receiving Payment by Direct Deposit

Direct deposit transfers funds electronically to your bank account. It often takes less than 3 days for the transaction to clear, depending on bank processing time. This is the quickest way to get paid.

If you choose to receive payment directly to your bank account, you will need to provide details of your checking or savings account where the funds can be deposited.

You have 4 free direct deposits to make per month. Each additional withdrawal costs $1.

Receiving Payment by Check

You can request to have your account balance mailed to you as a check. The check can be made payable to you, a designated contact, or your company name and mailed to the address you provide.

All checks are mailed at the end of the month. There is no fee to have a check mailed to you.

Paying Taxes

Currently, we do not charge taxes on any transactions. However, as a seller you are responsible for any and all applicable state or local taxes in connection with your parking sale.

Viewing Your Payment Information

If you have not received an expected payment or believe you have been paid the wrong amount, first verify that we have not already sent your payment. Remember, we collect a 15% commission from each sale, which we deduct prior to sending your payment. Your payment will reflect this commission.
