Introducing the ParkWhiz API

We’re super excited to announce that all of ParkWhiz’s parking data is now available for commercial and non-commercial use through our free JSON API. Full documentation can be found here. Every ParkWhiz account comes with an API key, and registration is a mere 4 form fields.

Not only is the API free to use, but you can also earn money with it. Sign up for a ParkWhiz affiliate account, and your affiliate tracking code will automatically be inserted into all URLs returned by the API. When someone follows a link with your tracking code, you’ll earn a commission for every purchase that you refer.

The API was designed with ease of integration in mind. The RESTful URL scheme mirrors the URLs used by www.parkwhiz.com, so just add the /json_api/ URL prefix and your API key and you’ll get a JSON output of the information in your browser.

We’re really pleased to be able to make this data available, and are looking forward to seeing how people integrate parking data into their apps (and mash-ups! Remember map mash-ups?
