250 nominated for Innovation Award

These 250 innovative products and services, developed in the Chicago area, were nominated for a 2007 Chicago Innovation Award, an 11-percent increase over the number nominated last year.

Each company responsible for the innovations will be honored Thursday at a reception at the CME Group's Chicago Board of Trade trading floor, one of the sponsors of the program created six years ago by Chicago consultancy Kuczmarski & Associates and the Chicago Sun-Times.

Ten nominees will be selected for an Innovation Award, profiled in the Chicago Sun-Times, and feted at an awards ceremony Oct. 22 at the Goodman Theatre. For more information: www.chicagoinnovationawards.com.
